Etsy Love – SANATcraft

by Her Happy Balance on July 31, 2014

Admittedly, like most women, I adore jewelry. I love picking up unique pieces that fit my current style – whatever that may be πŸ˜‰  Right now, I’m really liking jewelry with a spiritual vibe. While I do my fair share of shopping at Tj Maxx and Target, I turn to Etsy when I have something specific in mind. I found SANATcraft while scouring Etsy for a hamsa or nazar eye bracelet. SANATcraft is a shop run by Silda {an absolute sweetheart!},  who sells handcrafted jewelry and cards. I was thrilled when Silda offered to send me these beautiful hamsa bracelets.

Bracelets on Card Stock

The hamsa is a palm-shaped amulet that is said to protect you from the evil eye – love! I picked out one of the bracelets and she sent the other as a surprise! For the one I knew I was getting {the small gold one}, I was able to choose the color of the beads flanking the hamsa. I chose turquoise, but she also offered it to me in neon pink, dusty pink, or dusty blue. Both bracelets are handmade and the hamsa charms as well as the chains and spring clasps are all gold plated.

Wearing Hamsa Collage

These bracelets are ultra delicate and feminine. I love wearing them alone or in a stack with other bracelets. They have just the right touch of color to make for some gorgeous arm bling πŸ˜‰

Silda cautions buyers to treat the dainty bracelets with care and to try and keep them away from excessive moisture to help maintain their integrity. I’ve been careful to take them off before showering and to keep them safe in my jewelry box each night.

SANATcraft packaging

Everything Silda sells is handmade. Her prices for jewelry and cards are very affordable and range from $5-$25. Her shop is based in Australia, but for having so many miles between us, I received my bracelets about a week earlier than expected. Thank you, Silda and international mail πŸ˜‰ And the way she packaged the jewelry was very cute and thoughtful. Small touches like these really make for a good purchasing experience.

What was the last piece of jewelry you bought?
Have you ever purchased jewelry through Etsy before?
Is there some piece you never leave the house without wearing? I almost alwas have on pearl earrings.

Right?! I love getting personalized or hand-crafted gifts off of Etsy at Christmas time. They just seem so personal and usually the pieces are very affordable.

omg these bracelets are so cute!! I buy almost all my yoga jewelry from Etsy, but I have never seen this shop before. Etsy has some AMAZING things! The last thing I bought was an elephant mala bead bracelet from Shop Karma Kandy. Om Soul Shop is another favorite! I’m excited to check out SANATcraft!! πŸ™‚
