Fall Fashion Wishlist // Neutrals

by Her Happy Balance on August 15, 2016

I know we still have some time before the autumn season begins, but there is just something about the prospect of wearing fall’s fashion that makes me so happy. Every year in August I usually make a point to start my holiday shopping. I always think that if I start in August and spread it out over the coming five months that I will help my budget. So maybe if I start shopping and oogling fall’s beauties now {while it’s still hot as blazes out!} then I can track them over the next couple months and scope them out on sales. I am hoping a few of these items’ price tags drop along with the temperatures. This fall I’m thinking classic investment pieces in neutral colors that can be worn for years to come.

Neutrals Fashion

1.) Leather Biker Jacket, J. Crew. This would be a bit of splurge…okay, a big splurge. But it just screams classic and would never go out of style!

2.) Elements Collection 25 oz. Reusable Bottle in White Marble, S’well. I am OBSESSED with my S’well bottle, but adore the marble pattern of this one too. Plus, they really do keep beverages cold for 24h and hot for 12h.

3.) Mikey Driving Cap, Goorin Bros. I have wanted a Jeff cap for so long! I am determined to find one that fits my head, seems like they rarely make them in women’s. I love this one and would be perfectly happy wearing a men’s size small.

4.) Lisbon O-Ring Bucket Bag, Madewell. Another gorgeous classic! I have this Madewell tote and have been carrying it around for years. Even when I went out to Joe’s Crab Shack and spilled a full cup of butter on it, the bag magically retained its beauty, my butter-splattered jeans…not so much. The quality is so there and I do need a black bag so I’m goign to keep watching the Madewell sales.

5.) Lace Bralette, Victoria’s Secret. Isn’t this a pretty little thing?! Whenever I walk into VS I feel like a kid in a candy store – everything is gorg! This bralette would be perfect for lounging around or when minimal coverage is needed. I love some of the other styles and colors their bralettes are coming in now. Decisions, decisions.

6.) Isis Collar, House of Harlow 1960 (Currently on SALE!!). Collar necklaces and choker necklaces (Hello, 1990’s!) are such a fun way to add to some character to a look. I also love this one and this one

7.) Peera Cutout Bootie, Vince Camuto. I have been on the hunt for grey suede booties since last fall, these may just be the winners. I own a pair of Vince Camuto wedges and I have worn them non-stop for the last two summers so I feel like his shoes are of nice quality.

8.) Coleford Stretch Suspenders, Trafalgar. Women in suspenders…I so dig this style – think this look. I plan on pairing these with a classic white button down, some navy or burgundy crops, and nude pumps for a stylish work look.

9.) Avery-Fit Windowpane Crop Pant, Banana Republic. Whelp, I can’t exactly say these are on my wishlist anymore because I took the plunge during the Friends & Family Sale and made them mine. I know they’ll be a staple in my work-wear rotation once my internship starts. Also, for all of my lifting ladies out there – if you have a hard time finding pants that fit both your waist and thighs, I’ve found that at BR the Avery, Ryan, and Logan cuts work well, avoid the Sloan.

Thanks for reading, friends! What styles do you have on your wishlist for the fall?

I actually have the same problem – long torso, it’s why rompers are a no-go for me. But this leather jacket is just gorg, I hope to swing by J.Crew and try it on for size and then stalk it for sales online haha.

Im getting used to seeing the grey hues for the season. It’s a change from the browns and oranges. I also love the dark charcoal grey.

I am SO stoked for autumn and I think hunter green and grey will be awesome colors for the season. Come on crisp air and beautiful leaves!

I am so far behind, BUT, neutrals are where it’s at! I’m rocking all neutrals today, per the usual! Fall has always been my fave when it comes to fashion – love using neutral colors to accent neutral colors, like pops of army green and cranberry 🙂

Girl, you are not far behind! You rock cute mom style 🙂 Plus, army green and cranberry <3 I've also gotten really into hues of grey with dark green lately. The prospect of starting a new job in a new city has had me hitting up Pinterest HARD for ALL the inspiration.
