Grand Marnier Fruit Dip and Fun Running Things!

by Her Happy Balance on February 19, 2013

Did everyone make it through Monday in one piece? Great, me too 🙂 Just wanted to share a quick recipe with you all. I packed about two tablespoons of this to take to work to dip my apple and berries in yesterday.

Grand Marnier Fruit Dip:

1 Package (3.4 oz.) Instant Vanilla Pudding

1 and 3/4 cups of Whole Milk

8 oz. Cool Whip

5 tbsp. Grand Marnier

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and refrigerate. Serve with assorted fruits; my favorites are strawberries, peaches, and watermelon. You can also use this as a dessert topper, it works great on brownies a la mode and apple crisp. I’d recommend using the whole milk instead of opting for a lesser calorie milk, it comes out the best this way. Lower calorie milks will still taste good, but the consistency is slightly thinner. It’s up to you guys! And this recipe makes A LOT of dip. It’s great for parties and picnics…or hungry boyfriends.

I also received a package in the mail yesterday from the awesome Christine over at Life Happens. I participated in trying to help her pick out a running team name and received this fun running swag as gratitude. Have I mentioned enough how incredibly awesome bloggers are?!

Pictured: 2 running mags, Raspberry Fig Bar, Christine's Running Team shirt "Hit the Streets #runsocial", Lululemon headband, and a nice card from Christine!

I’m super excited about the Women’s Health Training Guide for 2013 as I signed up for a 5k last night! I get really nervous at the idea of running a race (even 3.1 miles) because I get this fear that come race day I will just totally flop. So signing up for a race is a big deal for me. I’m also super excited about the Lululemon head band. It is my first ever Lululemon workout accessory. My mind is still convinced I am a broke college student and I don’t think to splurge on her workout gear. I LOVE it though…maybe I’ll have to hit up an outlet soon!

Thoughts??

Any races in your future?

Whats your favorite workout gear brand?

Favorite dessert?

Her Happy Balance February 19, 2013 at 2:57 pm

Oh man, you’re doing some seriously awesome races. I’m debating signing up for Tough Mudder but I’m worried I won’t be able to climb up walls and the other relay-esque things.

I really need to decide which half marathons I am doing this spring. Definitely the Long Island half marathon in May and considering the More Magazine/Fitness Magazine women’s half in April. I thought about doing the Hershey Park 10K in April but may just hold off till the half in October – it was so much fun last year!

Her Happy Balance February 19, 2013 at 3:47 pm

A run centered around Hershey Park?! That sounds like a blast! I hope they have chocolate at the water break areas 🙂

Cindy February 19, 2013 at 3:10 pm

I am a COMPLETE and UTTER SLAVE to Lululemon!! Ugh, it’s not good on my wallet! 😉

Christine March 16, 2013 at 5:11 pm

I always say lululemon is like a “second skin” and thats why it is the best!

Christine March 16, 2013 at 5:10 pm

Oh good! I’m so glad you like it!! When is your race? One of my running goals is to run a race in every state… what state are you in? Maybe we can get a team together one day and “Hit The Street” together! lol And YUM. That dip is seriously great!
