Green Smoothie Palooza – Mojito

by Her Happy Balance on April 23, 2014

Can I get a what, what for hump dayyyyah?! Super stoked we’re another day closer to the weekend!

Today I’m bringing you the final installment of my Green Smoothie Palooza and it’s a good one. Make sure to enter my giveaway at the end!

Green Smoothie Recipes

For this last recipe, I tried to recreate one of my favorite summertime cocktails – the mojito! Because, alcohol. Just kidding, there’s no actual alcohol in this smoothie recipe, but go ahead and add a little dip of zee ol’ bottle if you want and I won’t tell anyone 😉

Her Happy Balance
My personal recipe for mojitos contains muddled cucumber and mint, so I decided to go a little nuts and add both to the smoothie. It may sound a little funky to put cucks in a smoothie, but trust me, it works. Would I lead you guys astray?! Not when it comes to recreating cocktails I won’t 😉

Enter to win some Salba Smart chia seeds of your own! Two winners will receive a bag of whole and a bag of ground chia seeds.

What, What!! I am so happy that the week is half way over!

I love the idea of making a smoothie based on a cocktail. I guess it wouldn’t be so healthy anymore if I added alcohol, huh? ; )

Yum this sounds good!! And oddly I’m attracted to the pretty shade of green that it is haha. The oddest thing I’ve put in a smoothie would most definitely be Edamame haha…..

It’s hard to pick a favorite smoothie ingredient, but mango is probably it. I love the tropical flavor it adds. This mojito smoothie sounds so refreshing! Perfect for summer.
