Snacking for days!

by Her Happy Balance on January 20, 2014

I cannot lie, I was really stoked when I came home and saw a case of ready-to-eat food sitting by my front door. I love receiving mail of all kinds, but does anything beat edible mail? The answer is a resounding no. It was pretty much my snacking dream come true to dive into each one of these flavors.

Pretzel Crisps

What I like about Pretzel Crisps® is that they are a great alternative to potato chips. I’ve made it pretty well known that I don’t have a sweet tooth, I have a salty/savory/spicy tooth. Every once in a while I get a craving for some greasy, crunchy, salty potato chips. I quickly found out that the Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper flavor (not pictured because I devoured them immediately) was a perfect substitute. They had the crunch, the salt, and they were baked – not fried in gallons of oil- to perfection. That was the first bag to go…

I tried the Jalapeño Jack flavor next and served them with guacamole for a game night with Nicole and her fiancé. Nicole loved them just as much as I did and we polished off the whole bag in one sitting.

What? You don’t sit on the floor in your pajamas eating snacks for breakfast? You are missing out, friends.

I really want to try creating some sort of recipe with these babies. I feel like they would go great as the base layer for a dessert bark or crushed as bread crumbs to coat chicken. It’s really hard to pick a favorite flavor. If I had to choose, I think I’d go with Buffalo Wing. My least favorite flavor was probably the sesame. It was tasty, but I much prefer some of the other flavors. And if you’re interested in the stats, these crisps boast 0g saturated and trans. fats, come in at 110 calories a serving and somehow manage to sneak in 3g of protein, too. Not too shabby!

P.S. – Put cream cheese on the Everything flavored crisps. Just do it already! (#twss) You can thank me later 😉

Mmm!! You must try grounding them up to use as a breading for chicken. Delicious!

I love Pretzel Crisps! Have you tried the buffalo flavor yet? Oh, so good! I’ve never seen the honey mustard and onion flavor before! I’m gonna need to start a search party for those!

Ahhh we love pretzel crisps in our house!! We can only find a few flavors around here though..plain, garlic, and everything. I wish we could find more of those flavors…the honey mustard and onion sound delicious 🙂

Sea salt and cracked pepper flavor?! #mustfindimmediately
I love pretzel crisps, but we don’t see to have much variety in shops around me. Thanks for the heads up on flavors! Yum yum yum!

They are so delicious! I especially love all the crumbs at the bottom of the bag with all of the extra flavor crystals haha, yay salty goodness!

PRETZEL CRISPS ARE MY FAVORITES AND RIGHT NOW YOU’RE MAKING ME CRAVE THEM BEYOND BELIEF. I tried Dark Chocolate Peppermint when I was home for Thanksgiving…absolutely heavenly.

Your least favorite flavor was the sesame?! That’s my favorite one! I LOVE IT! I wish they’d send me some things to sample…I’d be good at it 😉

Alex @ therunwithin January 20, 2014 at 12:23 pm

it makes me very sad that I am allergic to these because their flavors sound bomb

Her Happy Balance January 23, 2014 at 1:16 pm

Nooo! Say it ain’t so! We’ve got to get on them to make a GF version!

Oh my, a package like that at my door would be awesome! I do love those pretzels crisps. I had a cinnamon flavor once that was super! Although I haven’t seen it in a while…I want to try the honey mustard and onion. I like the plain salted ones too. My go to snack is anything SALTY!

Jalapeno Jack?! OMG I neeeedddd to find these ASAP. And if I had time, I would totally sit on the floor eating a bag of Pretzel Crisps for breakfast. Darn work getting in the way of things 😉

I have been a fan of Pretzel Crisps for a few years now. I haven’t tried all the flavors but have a few favorites. I love dipping them in hummus!

Her Happy Balance January 23, 2014 at 1:14 pm

Yum! I need to try dipping my few remaining ones (I demolished those babies!) in some hummus. They went really well in huac!

Jess January 21, 2014 at 5:04 am

They are making me hungry just reading about them!

You’ve got to try the Buffalo Wing flavor if you like spicy food, they’re addictive!!

I love Pretzel Crisps (and they’re on sale at ShopRite just about every other week).. the jalapeno jack and the garlic parmesan ones are my fav. At Christmas, they had the white chocolate peppermint ones too – amazing. Yum!

Her Happy Balance January 23, 2014 at 1:15 pm

I would LOVE to try the white chocolate ones! Maybe I can find a leftover holiday bag crushed on the back of one of the holiday clearance shelves! haha 🙂
