The Anything & Everything Playlist

Hey there, friends! How is Monday treating you? It’s a new week and a new opportunity to do whatever the heck makes you happy 🙂

I started my day off early with a trip to the gym. I had 4 miles on the schedule for today and I wanted to get them in before work. I just have never been much of an evening runner. I’d much rather spend my evenings trolling through Pinterest or catching up on my Netflix queue. So morning workouts are my thang! But it’s not all sunshine and daisies. Sometimes it is really difficult for me to get my butt out of bed and into some workout clothes for a run. On more than one occasion I’ve ended up on the treadmill running along with my eyes closed, wishing I was still asleep. It’s a pretty dangerous endeavor, I don’t recommend it. #needcaffeine But one thing I know I can always count on to wake me up and put me into a good mood is some great tunes.

I have pretty eclectic taste, so most of the time my playlists end up being filled with a little bit of everything. I usually choose music based on my mood. I also have some seasonal playlists, so I’m starting to get excited to whip out my autumn music selections. The playlist I’m sharing with you today helped push me across 10 miles in the Broad Street run this past May. I loved the songs so much I’ve continued to use this playlist throughout marathon training. Adding in new songs here and there and listening on shuffle keeps it fresh and fun.

Pandora or Spotify? Or something else entirely?

I’m always looking for new music playlists, so this is great! I hear ya on waking up and getting on the treadmill while asleep, lol. I’ve done it and it’s not always pretty! I use Spotify to listen to music, and to teach my classes.

Yeah, I vascillate between Spotify and Pandora but I like them both for different reasons. I still haven’t taken the plunge and bought a subscription to either yet, so when one starts playing too many ads I switch to the next 😉

Love “Help!” by the Beatles. The perfect song to get you through early morning workouts. I’m not loving anything on the radio right now, so I’m interested to read the comments on this post too!

I have a few other Beatles’ songs on my workout playlists but that’s always a good one. And there are times when I’m running that it feels very appropriate and I could use some help haha.
